Supported Streams
This integration supports the following three key resources from Countercyclical, which can be used as streams within Airbyte:
These streams allow users to pull essential data from Countercyclical and load it into Airbyte-compatible destinations, ensuring that investment research and insights are efficiently managed across all of your platforms.
1. Investments Stream
The Investments stream pulls all of your Investments within your Countercyclical workspace.
This data is vital for tracking investment research over time and performing financial analyses. By syncing this stream to Airbyte, users can keep their investment data continuously updated in external systems like data warehouses or portfolio monitoring & management platforms.
2. Valuations Stream
The Valuations stream extracts all valuation data associated with specific investments. This includes:
Current valuation assessments
Historical valuations
Financial models
Underlying assumptions and key metrics (e.g., revenue, free-cash-flow to firm, discount rates)
Projections of future investment performance
The Valuations stream is particularly useful for syncing to analytical systems, allowing investment professionals to continuously monitor the changing value of their portfolios.
3. Memos Stream
The Memos stream pulls qualitative insights and research from Countercyclical's Memo feature. Memos are typically used by investment professionals to document:

How to Integrate with Airbyte
Integrating with Airbyte requires generating an API key in your Countercyclical workspace.
API keys limit resource visibility based on:
The user who created the key, and
the workspace the key's generated in.
For the greatest visibility across all of your workspaces resources, it's recommended that a Workspace Admin or Owner generates the API key and implements the integration.

Prerequisites
To integrate Countercyclical as a source in Airbyte, you will need:
A Countercyclical account with the ability to generate an API key.
An Airbyte instance (cloud or self-hosted).
Access to the relevant Investments, Valuations, and Memos resources in your Countercyclical workspace.
Steps for Integrating
Install Airbyte: Ensure that you have a running Airbyte instance. You can choose between Airbyte Cloud or self-hosting via Docker or Kubernetes.
Connect Countercyclical as a Source:
Go to your Airbyte dashboard and select Add New Source.
Choose Countercyclical from the list of available source connectors.
Enter the required credentials (e.g., API key) from your Countercyclical account to authenticate the connection.
Select Resources (Streams):
Once connected, select the streams you wish to sync: Investments, Valuations, or Memos.
Configure the sync schedule (manual, hourly, daily, etc.).
Choose Destination:
Select your desired destination, such as a data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery), a data lake (AWS S3), or any other Airbyte-compatible system.
Run Sync: Initiate the sync process to start pulling Countercyclical data into your chosen destination. Airbyte will automatically handle future syncs based on your schedule.
